Images are one of the most popular features that new webmaster's want to add to their website.  Once you learn how to do it the process will become very simple.  When you are selecting images to add you your website it is better to size the image in a graphic program before uploading it to your website.  This will make the image look the best when it is displayed in the web browser.
 
Before you upload an image you will need the image on your local computer.  To download an image from another website right click on the image and select "Save As".  If you rename the image be sure to keep the extension the same.  For example if the image is caller 34242-3232sfs.jpg --> my_image.jpg.  The last part of the name is the extension.  Do not add any spaces or characters besides standard letters, numbers, and - or _.  When you save the image take note to where you save it so you can find it later.
 
To insert an image to your website click the mouse on a place on the page where you would like the image then click the "Insert Image" button from the toolbar.  It is recommended that you add some blank lines below where you want your image to aid in editting it later.
 
 
 
Click the browse button and select the image from your computer.  Once the image is selected press the "Upload" button to send the image to the server.  If all goes well you will see the image listed in the list on the left. Click on the image from the list and it should preview in the window above.  Click "Ok" to return to your editting window.
 
You can change many of the settings of the image by right clicking the image in the editor window and select "Image Properties".  The window below will show:
 
 
 
The top left shows a preview of the image.  Under the image information you can change the width and the height of the image, add a border, and edit the title.  All the numbers are in pixels.  Setting the border to 0 is often used to prevent a border from showing in the image is turned into a hyperlink.  If you change the width or the height the other dimension will automatically adjust to keep the proportion of the image correct.  Click "Reset demensions" to restore original size.
 
Text Flow controls how the image wraps around the text.  As you try the various settings the "Positioning Preview" will show how the text will be displayed with the image.  Adjust the space around the image as needed.  To select a different image click the link "Choose a different image" next to the Cancel button at the bottom of the window. 
 
The image can be centered or adjusted to be left or right justified by using the align buttons on the toolbar.
