Tables are used to format elements on your webpage. They are made up of rows and colums. Here is a simple table:
This
table is made up of three rows and two columns. Each of the six
boxes are called cells. To create a table select the "Insert
Table" button from the toolbar.
When creating a new table select the number of rows and columns
that it should have. The width of the table can be set in pixes
or a percentage. The height usually does not need to be set.
Cell Spacing controls
spacing between cells.
Cell padding controls the spacing within the cells. You can
experiment with these settings to create the format you are looking for.
If you want to see the grid lines of the
table select a border size > 0. A default background can be
set for the table and a border can be set if desired.
You
will be able to edit your table once you create it. Once you have
the settings correct click "Ok" and it will show up in your editor
window.
To select your table in the editor click on the border or right click in one of the cells.
With
this menu you can control how the table looks on the page. To
change the formatting of a cell, row, or column select "Table, Row, and
Cell Properties" from the list.
Here you
can have full control of the cells, rows, and the whole table.
Try changing some of the options to see how it will work.
